Solo Hiking Services

Solo Dog Hikes in the Greater Boston Area – Customized Training & Adventure
Give your dog a personalized, enriching outdoor experience with solo hikes from Commonwealth Canine Services. Each 75-minute hike is tailored to your dog’s individual needs, providing a safe and supportive environment for skill-building, exploration, and confidence.
Solo hikes are perfect for dogs who love the woods but may have reactivity or sensitivity around other dogs or people, as well as dogs whose training is still in progress. These hikes allow careful management while practicing attention, targeting, and recall skills, gradually working toward reliable off-leash or long-leash behavior.
We adjust each hike to meet your dog where they are—whether that means extra time to explore, desensitization to new environments, managing excitement from wildlife, or addressing fears—always using positive reinforcement techniques and the reinforcers that work best for your dog.
